Along with the progress of the Remote Sensing Technology and its extensive application,The method which combines the Remote Sensing Technology and Multi-source Geo-information to extract Mineralized Alteration Information and to predict is more and more widely used in actual geological work.The research area is located in the Gangdese porphyry copper belt which has rich mineral resources and huge potential for prospecting. But the quantities of present researches are quite limited due to its unique geographical environment which makes it difficult to prospect using traditional methods. This paper used the remote sensing dataASTER and ETM and the high spatial resolution IKONOS image of the research area to extract Mineralized Alteration Information and to establish interpreting marks to interpret tectonic.By referring to a typical ore deposits located in study area, The paper evaluated the reliability of the Mineralized Alteration Information, then analyzed the Mineralization Information,the Tectonic Interpretation Information and the Stratigraphic Lithology Information to determine the decisive factor and the reference factor in delineating the prognosis area. Finally, the paper showed the procedure to delineate the prognosis area in order to provide some reference for the following work. The main achievements are as follows:Choosing the spectral Angle and the Principal Component Analysis methods to remove the element which will disturb the results of extracting mineralization information then analyzed and summarized the applicable conditions and characteristics of the two methods according to the effect. The paper compared the advantages and disadvantages of the ETM image with the ASTER image in extracting mineralization information, then analyzed the results and finally choosed the common pary as the final mineralization information. By this way, We can not only make full use of the advantages of the two images, but also effectively avoid unuseful mineralization information caused by sensors,weather,solar altitude angles and landform.The thesis used the high spatial resolution IKONOS image in the study area, established the interpreting marks and interpreted the linear and circular structure. Then classified the linear structure according to its quality, scales and significance , finally made out the density mapBy evaluating the relevance of the typical ore deposits with the extract altered information, the linear structure information, the ringed structure information, and the existing geological information in the research area, the paper concluded to choose the remote sensing mineralized alteration information, the linear structure size information, the linear structure density information and the stratigraphic as the decisive factors to tag the prediction area, and to optimize the choice of the forecasting area by its ring structures. By this method, the research found seven forecasting areas and all of them have good metallogenic conditions and huge prospecting potential.
