Vibration and noise severely have recently been affected people's lives and production, viscoelastic damping material has the characteristics of high energy consumption and can play a big role on vibration and noise reduction. Sandwich plates which are made of viscoelastic damping material become the hotspot of material scienceacademic research focus. The purpose of this paper is on the measurement of damping characteristics of the sandwich plate and for provide the basis for structural design reducing vibration and noise.In this paper,the author briefly describes the damping mechanisms,the measurement of the viscoelastic material and characterizes its constitutive mathematical model. Then briefly introduce theoretical analysis methods of the damping treatment and analysis the limitations of each method.The author establishs the dynamic analysis model of the material's damping characteristics by using ANSYS finite element analysis software, and its comparison with the experimental results shows that the model has high accuracy. The author guids and designs a sandwich board for measuring the damping by it again,then determines the geometry of the sandwichboard.With the development of virtual instrument ,a lot of damping test software are appearing. The paper is aimed to optimize the existing damping test software, and the method of circle fitting to recognize damping characteristic is become the candidate, which reduces the fitting error and makes the experience important.And the methods of artificial intelligence intervention and monitoring are able to ensure that the measurementsoftware will have more accurately identify the damping ofspecimens.Both finite element simulation and experimental measurement are to test the software reliability, in this paper. Make contrast between the modal frequency measured and calculated by Ansys, and the proximity results ensure that the system is reliable and precise.In this paper ,build a measurement platform for damping parameters by the system to analysis various sandwich plates. The single material plate, free damped plate and the damping properties of sandwich panels are discussed, and examined the influence of confining material, damping layer material, different damping treatments on the damping properties of sandwich panels.
