For the social economy is developing and the energy demanding continues to expand, offshore oil resource gradually becomes the new growth point of energy. Different oil fields adopt different ways, using jack-up platform, submersible platform, floating type platform and the fixed platform . Shallow marine structures research also become more and more mature. Jacket platform is a platform, which is currently used mostly. For measuring the design theory and construction technology, it is one of the most mature and most common platform type.As one of the energy development tools, people have been paying much attention to the structure safety performance. Nearly ten years based on the reliability theory to design and evaluate structural people gain much engineering progress. The structural reliability theory is developed, and successfully applied to various fields of engineering. In recent decades the structure reliability of the results obtained are significant. This paper studies and summarizes the structure reliability theory, with jacket platform as the research object. Firstly it used the finite element analysis software ANSYS modeling the jacket platform in different load working conditions, after static analysis, then extract the corresponding component stress, and then use the FORTRAN reliability programming software with JC programming to evaluate the reliability of the jacket platform. At last, it analysied and compared and draw the corresponding conclusion.
