Using theories and methods of Sediment Lithology and Reservoir Geology, based on fieldwork and cores observation, the diagenesis research of Cambrian carbonate rocks of Luxi Block is conducted by polarizing microscope, fluid inclusion, stable isotope, fluorescent light and organic maturity analyst. We also study the diagenetic sequence, diagenetic stage, diagenetic fluid evolvement and diagenetic environment.Cambrian of Luxi Block is continuous and good, drilling data is abundant, and research level is high. The type of carbonate rocks consists of micrite limestone, oolitic limestone, conglomerate limestone, calcarenite limestone, microbialite and dolomite, which go through a number of diagenetic generation and types. Some diagenesis are major, such as cementation, dissolution, dolomitization, compaction and pressolution. Some are subsidiary, like recry-stallization, metasomatism, silication and interior sediment filling. A great deal of secondary pores are produced by dissolution and dolomitization. Cementation, compaction, pressolutionand and interior sediment filling, decrease the pore number, which are devastating. Recrystallization, metasomatism and silication are two-sided characteristic for pores.Carbonate rock diagenesis is affected by many factors, for example, mineral constituent and grain structure, pore fluid, temperature, pressure and relationship of diagenesis. Therefore, according to rock feature, diagenetic characteristic, pore type, thermometric analysis of fluid inclusion, stable isotope and organic maturity, it is discovered that Cambrian diagenesis underwent for syngenetic, eogenetic, and middle diagenetic stage. We also find that diagenetic fluid consistency and salinity decreased with the increasing diagenetic temperature. The study area underwent atmosphere, marine, mixture water and burial diagenetic environments with different characteristics.
