Along with our country economy's swift development,the consuming of mineral resources especially iron resources grows rapidly.Liaoning province is taking a eterna role of northeast even country's industrial development and because of containing vast iron resources.Indeed, in mineral resources prospecting with remote sensing, mineralization-alteration information extraction is one of the crucial steps.This article was given a example as Liaoning Gongchangling strip mine, and the research used the Landsat ETM+ imagine to extract mineralization-alteration information of this region by the methods of band ratio,principal component analysis, false color composite and density slice after data collection and survey.Research result showed that there were many iron resources in central-south Gongchangling,and the area confined in this research was almost similar,so-to-say,which had a high creditability. The research result has a guidance value to metallogenic prediction of Gongchangling even the whole Liaoning province,and which has a enlightenment value to improve the technology measures in geologic remote sensing. geologicgeologic remote sensing geologic remote sensing.
