Ranking fuzzy numbers is the basic problem of the fuzzy programming. In this paper, the author studies the problem of ranking fuzzy numbers, and based on it, the fuzzy assignment problem is studied. Its specific contents are:1. This paper presents the exponent sorting method, a new ranking method of trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. This method is not contrary to the natural order relation of real numbers. The sequence generated by it has nice properties, and it can also be used to the question of mixed fuzzy number ranking. Compared with the current ranking methods, this one is good both in the effect of sorting and visual effects and it is also easy to program.2. In this paper, the definition of the optimal solution of the fuzzy assignment problem is made. A solution to single-objective fuzzy assignment problem is given by using the relevant conclusions on exponent sorting method. On the basis of this, the author discusses the multi-objective fuzzy assignment problem.
