Kunming is one of14Chinese cities which are serious short of water resources.With the sharp increase of population and high-speed economic development, thecontradiction of water supply and demand is soaring day by day. Fully collecting andutilizing rainfall resources, recharging groundwater, reducing surface source pollution,abating the urban flood disaster and alleviating the pressure of the drainage system,improving and repairing the water environment of Kunming are the long-term guidingdirection of Kunming's city construction. Therefore, researching the rainfallinfiltration rule of porous pavement is both significant to relax the lack of waterresources in Kunming and improve the utilization ratio of rainwater.This paper combines with a project of Dianchi Lake-the second subject:Studies and Demonstration Engineering of controlling source technology system onhigh pollution drainage area at the northern bank of Dianchi Lake-the secondsub-topic: Demonstration Engineering on key technology and design of sewagecollection system in high pollution combined drainage area which belongs to theimportant S&T item of national water pollution control and management project. Itwas assumed by the institute of water resources and environment of China Universityof Geosciences (Beijing). Through the investigation of frequently used waterpermeability materials at present, in response to the structure, the withstand voltagecharacteristics and the permeable performance of water permeability materials withdifferent uses, the research and reform of new water permeability materials arepresented. At the same time, in order to improve surface rainfall infiltration capacity,it makes relevant transformation of hardened grounds which directs at low static loadand dynamic load, low structure requirement of sidewalk, leisure square andcourtyard, etc. Finally, through the analysis of outdoor and indoor test dates, itdiscusses the rule of infiltration and runoff from rainfall on Kunming.The result of the demonstration project of the rainfall infiltration in naturalconditions shows that, under different rainfall and drying time conditions, the porous pavement's effect on the whole rainwater detention and storage is obvious; thechanging rules of water permeable brick to flood peak delayed time and rainwaterdetention and storage rate and the removal rate of flood peak are basically identical.The result of laboratory test of rapid infiltration shows that, permeable pavementof strength in small brick artificial rainfall infiltration under the condition of goodeffect, the return period for10years in a hour within the rainfall intensity, permeablepavement brick without surface runoff generation, have certain penetration drainagecapacity.
