With the rapid development of economy and population growth, the transportationof big city had lagged behind the growth of demand. The traffic congestion and thetraffic accident more and more serious, these problems had become bottleneck of rapideconomic development of the modern city. In recent years, the complex network hasbecome a theory research direction. We may use the urban transport networkcharacteristics of theory to solve the problem of the city planning, road upkeep andtraffic management, so that come up with the new research angle, ideas and method toimprove the city jam situation.First of all, this paper introduced the domestic and foreign research based oncomplex network theory, and then reviewed of the theoretical knowledge.In order useto research the characteristics of the urban traffic system network, this paper choose theWuhan as the sample. What is more, these papers embody morphological characteristicsand population distribution of Wuhan, and three main reasons had proposed on thisbasis of analyzes the current situation. At the same time, we summarized two modelingmethods of traffic network based results of the predecessors'.We put forward two othermodeling methods according to the current traffic conditions in Wuhan, and then choosethe best. The diagrammatic map of complex network is based on MATLAB and PAJEK,and calculate the weighted, the clustering coefficient and average path length of thetransit site network topology structure.Finally compare some better city, we present the inevitability and necessity of thedevelopment of the public transport network, and propose optimization city trafficnetwork's suggestions, from the macroscopically and microcosmic level narrative andhas very strong operation.At the same time we looking the trend of the further researchin the complex network of the development, we may do better in sync traffic,the groupdynamics' behavior,model optimization,deliberate attack and anti-destroying abilitysimulation.
