Mengxi porphyry copper deposit is located in the Qiongheba concentratedmineralization zone of NaoMaohu, Yiwu, Hami, this zone is one of the mostimportant metal mineralization of Eastern Junggar in Xinjiang. The outcropped stratain study area are mainly Huangcaopo Group of Ordovician and Heishantou Group ofCarboniferous, in the middle and north of mining area, it exposed granite porphyryrock, and the surface appears many diorite, diorite porphyrite branch, by the expose of0line's borehole, we found that under the deeper part of0line's drilling, it developslarge amount of diorite porphyrite dikes.According to the research method of field survey, geologic mapping,rock-mineral determination, vein statistics, fluid inclusion, and so on, researched thewall-rock alteration characteristics of the mining area systematically, and combinedwith the achievements of previous research, we consider the alteration metallizationof Mengxi porphyry copper deposit's surrounding rock had developed greatly, themainly type included potassic alteration, silicification, sericitization, pyritization,carbonation, clay-mineralization, chalcopyrite, magnetite and so on. It shows that thealteration and mineralize of Mengxi porphyry copper deposit zone have the doublesystem stack structure: the surface and shallow's potassic alteration, copper andmolybdenum mineralization coexist closely with granite porphyry; and a large area ofsericitization-pyritization-propylitization, potassic alteration-magnetite developedin deep are connected with diorite porphyrite. The characteristics of potassic-alteredthat related with the deep diorite porphyrite can be used as the signs of prospecting atdepth in the mining area, the system of deep diorite porphyrite mineralization maytake the copper and gold mineralization as the main characteristic.The fluid inclusion researching indicates that the change of inclusions'homogenization temperature is between120and420℃,the salinity test value of inclusions is lower, ranging from3%to14%. Base on the test result, it shows thatMengxi porphyry copper deposit has the characteristic of low-to-moderatetemperature, low salinity and hydrothermal. Besides the potassium altered stage, thefluid inclusion's homogenization temperature of other altered stage display certainperiodicity. Through elements spectral analysis of0line borehole's sample in Mengxiore district, from up to down, the vertical zoned metallization of Ag, Pb-Zn and Auhave something to do with deep diorite porphyrite, it shows that the deposit's deephave good metallogenic potentials of copper and gold.By this study, based on the research of altered mineralization characteristic andexisting exploration achievements, we have set up Mengxi deposit 's metallogenicmodel preliminarily, and conjecture that the Mengxi deposit's deep location havemetallogenic potentials of copper and gold, which has great realistic significance tothe ore deposit genesis and further prospecting.
