Casing side tracking is a very important measure to save the abandoned well and improve the recovery efficient. Aimed at the exploitation actuality of Daqing Oilfield, this paper discusses the research and application of horizontal well drilling technology by slim hole casing window sidetracking. This will promote the development of the old well reentry, sidetracking and radial horizontal technique etc. It is important in exploiting residual oil and gas in Fuyang layer reservoir and valuable for increasing recovery and integration economic benefit.Currently the method of improving old formation is all by reform the near well condition, these method to upper thick oil layer are not enough ideal. Open a window side to drill level well inside builded tube special in keeping with mine a thin layer an oil layer. In order to improve the speed of side tracking, the domestic research emphasize particularly on the amelioration of tools and the well cementing technology of closely-spacedwells. For the tool of sidetracking, mainly used articulated composite milling wimble, slip hydraulic anchoring finder, enlarge the well diameter, augment the annular clearance, and optimize the slurry property to improve the well cementing quality.Nowadays, casing side tracking technology is very popular, spread the integrative side tracking tools, accomplish blocking, orientation, open a side hole, drill the pilot hole and drilling in a close quarters once. The article analysised the representative technical question and common technics in procedure of side track of casing hole. And then stated the basic solution or the derection needed to be researched further.
