In this thesis, the research on effects of Complexation of heavy metal ions (CdⅡ,CdⅡ,CrⅢ,CuⅡ,NiⅡ,PbⅡ) on the growth of activated sludge. It was reviewed the development tone that activated sludge technics was treated with wastewater, meanwhile particularly introduced research actuality which activated sludge was used in wastewater containing heavy metals. A new craftwork which activated sludge treated with water containing heavy metal ions was proposed. The main work includes the following aspects.1. The most suitable temperature and time were gotten according to experiments, in addition, the standard graphs between COD of water solution and the absorption of CrⅥcould be acquired.consequently, the core steps of experiment were established.2. It was studied the effects of free heavy metal ions on activated sludge. According to the graphs with experiental datas between COD removal rate and the concentration of heavy metal ions, so the conclusion could be evaluated as follows: On the one hand, the concentration of dry mud was 2g/l; on the other hand,COD removal rate was greater than or equal to 20%, the maximum tolerance of activated sludge on heavy metal ions were acquired.3. The effects of EDTA, sodium citrate and sodium humate liganded different concentrations of heavy metal ions on active sludge were respectively studied, and the maximum tolerance of activated sludge on complexation of heavy metal ions was obtained.By comparing the concentration of free and complexation of heavy metal ions under the maximum tolerance of activated sludge,it was obtained that the activity of sludge is higher in water including complexation of heavy metal ions,4. In this thesis, it simulated a SBR craft to deal with water with complexation of heavy metals ions. With microwave digestion measuring COD and ICP-AES obtaining absorption amounts, proved the feasibility of adoping active sludge to deal with water including complexation of heavy metal ions.
