The accurate size grading vibrating screen which developed by Zhengzhou University and Co.,Ltd.Xinxiang Sida is used for accurate grading and testing of 5-100mm industrial raw materials. New technologies and new techniques are adopted to meet the process of screening, removing and transportation when the accurate screening, multi-level granularities can be accurate graded in one screening process. However, according to the case of customer feedback, although the problem of accurate grading is solved and the automation level of particle size testing in the production process is greatly improved by this device, inevitable material jamming phenomenon appears during the operation, so the accuracy of the inspection is reduced, a lot of troubles are brought to customers by this phenomenon. This paper studies these issues which mentioned above, the reasons, probability and solutions of material jamming are discussed deeply, the impact of the accurate size grading vibrating screen system parameters on the material jamming is analyzed in this paper, the author has come to some useful conclusions and modifies the accurate size grading vibrating screen, the screening performance and the anti-blocking performance of this device are significantly enhanced.In this paper, the main structure and working principle of the accurate size grading vibrating screen system are described in detail, the movement of the material in the screen surface is analyzed, the reasons of material jamming in the screening process are found with the accurate size grading vibrating screen's actual working environment, then the probability of the material jamming is analyzed by statistical methods, and the impact of the kinetic parameters on the material jamming probability and the jam removing efficiency is analyzed by experimental study, then we come to some conclusions of reducing material jamming phenomenon. The screening process and the jam removing process are separated, methods of preventing material jamming phenomenon in the source (screening process) are proposed; To the particles which can not be removed, the measures of adjusting operating parameters or adding assistive devices are proposed. On this basis, according to the problems and deficiencies in preventing material jamming phenomenon of accurate size grading vibrating screen, the author has modified the accurate size grading vibrating screen from its structure, screen, and the way of jam removing to enhance the screening performance and the anti-blocking performance.The experimental data shows that the modification of the accurate size grading vibrating screen is reasonable and effective. This modification not only enhances the screening performance and the anti-blocking performance, but also optimizes the structure, and improves the operation stability. With theoretical and experimental study, the author draws some useful conclusions which can be applied to optimization of operating parameters and actual design work of vibrating screen. These conclusions provide a strong theoretical basis for the enhancing of vibrating screen's anti-blocking performance.
