Metal-organic coordination polymers are a type coordination polymer with assembled from the metal centers and organic ligands. And the construction of novel porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted intense attention due to their variety of intriguing architectures and topologies as well as their potential industrial applications in gas storage, separation, luminescence, magnetism, catalysis and so on. In this study, we construct a series of metal-organic coordination polymers based on a C3 symmetry aromatic polycarboxamide acid ligand as the basic building blocks and organic N-containing ligand as ancillary ligands. And all of them have been characterized by means of IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, luminescence spectrum, Uv-vis reflection spectra and single X-ray crystallography.1. A series of isostructural 3D lanthanide-organic coordination polymers formulated as [Ln(BTMC)(DMF)]·2.5(DMF)·3(H2O) (Ln= La(1), Ce(2), Pr(3), Nd(4)) have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions by using a C3 symmetry aromatic polycarboxamide acid N,N',N"-tris(4-carboxyphenyl)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamide (BTMC) and lanthanide ions. Topological studies reveal that all compounds feature a non-interpenetrated binodal (4,8)-connected AIB2 topology. where the C3 symmetry ligand BTMC evolves into an unusual 4-connected node and dinuclear metal cluster acts as an 8-connected node. Furthermore, we studied the mutual transformations between (4,8)-connected AIB2 (3,6)-connected rtl based on same BTMC ligand.2. A 2D 2-fold parallel interpenetrating metal-organic coordination polymers formulated as [Mn(BTMC)]·0.5(bbi)·2.5(H2O) (5) has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions by using C3 symmetry aromatic polycarboxamide acid ligand N,N',N"-tris(4-carboxyphenyl)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamide (BTMC) as the basic building blocks and 1,1'-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole) (bbi) as template molecular. Topological studies reveal that compound 5 exhibits (3,6)-connected kgd topology based on triangular organic ligand and octahedral dinuclear metal cluster blocks. Fourmore, compound 5 displays high thermal stability.
