Epoxy resin is a polymer oligomer consisting two or more than two epoxy base linked through aliphatic,fat alicyclic or aromatic organic compounds, Epoxy resin can form useful thermosetting product by the reaction of the epoxy groups. It has become the most important matrix resin of glass (carbon) fiber reinforced composites for its excellent mechanical properties,bond properties with fiber interface and molding process capability.The research is mainly about the special requirements of epoxy resin used for wind generators large blades, four parts of works were stated as below:1,We visited some blade manufactures, and investigated technical indicators of vacuum infusion wind-power blades epoxy system.2,With the comparison of HUNTSMAN 1564 epoxy resin, we analyzed the epoxy value and viscosity of epoxy resin then determined the of epoxy resin system which have three components. According to the principle of molecular structure,performance,curing properties and the technological requirement, we selected five kinds of curing agent and tested the mechanical properties, thermal properties, gel time. At last we selected three compositions as the basic composition of system and detennined the ratio of curing agent by the testing of amine value.3,The properties of epoxy resin system and curing material were confirmed by electrical universal material machine,DSC,viscometer etc. We adjusted the formula of epoxy resin system, and obtained the epoxy resin system for wind-power blades with low viscosity, feasible technology and good fibers matching. Meanwhile, we compared the performance of our epoxy resin system with the products importing.4,We optimized the operation procedures of the epoxy resin system in the actual process operation and tested the comprehensive performance of Epoxy resin system, which includes mechanical properties and fatigue-resistanceFrom the research, we determined the composition and formula of epoxy resin system:epoxy resin H1:H2:H3=60:25:15, curing agent Gi:G2:G3=:6:3:1, the ratio of resin with curing agent is 100:30. As the result, following by the comprehensive evaluation of the performance, the epoxy resin system can be satisfied all the requirements of 40.3m wind-power blades, and it can be used to manufacture wind-power blades.
