There are some coal and gas outburst mines in Yinggangling Mine Area. Those mines, with the characteristics of frequent outburst and large gas content, are serious areas of frequent coal and gas outburst in China and also are historically coal production areas in southern China. There are some understandings through constantly efforts of researchers in Jiangxi and other areas, because study is no systematic and very lack, systematic study of Mine Area has significance in this article and it will provide reference for production.In this article, Gas geology characteristics are qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed and studied by using theory of plate tectonics, gas filtering control theory, mining statistics, linear regression and structural complexity statistics in Mine Area.Firstly, the original methane content of coalbed is restored to use coal proximate analysis and gas adsorption constant, residual gas content; also coalbed methane emission and coal and gas are arranged. Secondly, gas geological of Mining Area characteristics are mainly studied, and Gas content of coalbed be forecasted to apply Lagrangeinterpolation formula, and Gas emission is forecasted to apply mining statistics, and relationship between depth and coal gas content is established; and impect roof lithology on gas content is analyzed; and the reasons for metamorphism of coal are explained in Mining Area, and relationship between coal quality and gas content of coalbed is established; and impact for coal and gas outburst on the depth and coal thickness.etc is discussed. Thirdly, tectonic simplicity and complexity are evaluated by using the method of structural complexity, and comprehensive coefficient of geologic structure complexity is measured, and mathematical model is built on relationship between structural complexity and coalbed gas content; and geologic structure and tectonic stress influence on coal and gas outburst are discussed, and the geological structure characteristics of large-scale and vast coal and gas outburst are analyzed. Finally, boundaries between dangerous and no-dangerous zone for coal and gas outburst are determined by using coalbed gas content, D, K, characteristics of gas geology, revised complexity coefficient of structure and dip.etc.
