| In the paper, the author discusses in more detail the characteristics of the caving coal gob of residual coal in low-temperature oxidation and temperature field distribution, and combined with engineering practice to simulate the fully mechanized caving face Gob airflow leakage and temperature field distribution, by the way of simulation, the author discusses in a detailed and deeply analysis and study of the low-temperature oxidation characteristics and temperature distribution law in residual coal mined-area.At first, the author summarizes theories and laws of low-temperature oxidation at gob, at the same time, recalls the status of the gob fire prevention and control research and application, and studies the porous media theory and percolation theory in mined-out area. In order to improve the accuracy of the basic parameters which are used in the computer numerical simulation, the author analyses porosity and air leaking windage of the mined-out area, and establishes the mathematical model of temperature field of coal low-temperature oxidation in mined-out area, and then compiles User-Defined Function. The author simulates the situation of temperature distribution in gob area by using FLUENT (CFD software). The law about the situation of a temperature distribution in gob area is concluded by simulating. The author gathers lots of metrical dats. The result of simulation is proved correctness. To sum up, the author analyses in more detail the character of the temperature distribution in gob area.
