Coal-fired power stations of ultrafine particle emissions (PM2.5) pollution to the environment caused wide attention, the newly issued emission standards, and new emissions standards are more and more strictly. Existing equipments in coal-fired power plant have less efficient removal of sub-micron particle, so the efficiency of existing dust removal equipment shall be transformed. Using chemical agglomeration to made sub-micron particles agglomerated and grow up. So it can improve the efficiency of electrostatic precipitator, and this opened up a new idea that sub-micron particle matter emission control. Compared with the bag dust extractions, this technique can save investment and feasible in economy, and there is hope to removal various pollutants. It has industrial application foreground, especially for small and medium-sized coal-fired power plant. This paper introduce the design of the 300MW coal-fired power plant chemical agglomeration system, at the same time the flow field of agglomeration room both in the test environment and actual case is simulated by fluent.First of all, according to various polymers solution of experiment data and reunited effect of the theoretical basis of chemical agglomeration, analyze and select chemical composition chemical agglomeration of solution.And then, according to the actual situation, analyze the mixed mode of agglomeration solution and flue gas, and select appropriate spray stile of agglomeration solution, design chemical agglomeration system of 300MW coal-fired power plant, made chemical agglomeration system process perfect. According to the technical and structural parameters of power plant, select device type and technical parameters, and evaluate the economics of this system. Compared with the bag dust extractions, the main advantage of chemical agglomeration technology is that it can save millions of initial investment cost.Finally, choose the gas-liquid-solid multiphase flow model and the turbulent flow model, simulate both the experimental agglomeration room and the agglomeration room of the coal-fired power plant by fluent software respectively. The results show that, the temperature of gas could be reduced by 15℃with appropriate agglomeration solution. This helps to improve the efficiency of electrostatic precipitator. But, in the agglomeration room of the coal-fired power plant, temperature of flue gas in the top and bottom reduced little, this is because this part of gas and agglomeration solution did not mix fully. It is bad to improve the efficiency of electrostatic precipitator.
