In this paper, five kinds of rubbers including low molecular weight polyisobutylene (LPIB), maleic anhydride grafted LPIB (LPIB-g-MAH), glycidyl methacrylate grafted LPIB (LPIB-g-GMA), stryrene-ethylene-butylene-stryrene block copolymer (SEBS) and stryrene- butylene-stryrene block copolymer (SBS) were employed to investigate their effects on the toughness of glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester (GFRUP).And then both inorganic fluorescent rare earth powders and organic fluorescent europium complex were employed to make fluorescent unsaturated polyester resin (UPR). Trough the adding of long lasting phosphorescent powder (Dow), luminescent UPR emitting fluorescent green light in dark was obtained. And through incorporation of cerium doped aluminum yttrium oxide (YAG: Ce) and europium doped calcium sulfide (CaS: Eu), luminescent UPR emitting yellow and red light under visible light was obtained desperately. Their luminescent properties were investigated. At last, 1, 10-phenanthroline (phen) and diphenolic acid (DPA) were used as doping agents to synthesis fluorescent Eu (Ⅲ) complex and the fluorescence of the complex has been studied. Adding the complex into UPR, luminescent UPR emitting red light under UV-light was obtained and its fluorescence was compared with that of inorganic rare earth/UPR composite.
