| This work focused on analysis and studying of the Pr-based bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) under different annealing temperatures and different annealing time.The magneticincluded the saturation magnetization (Ms), the intrinsic coercivity (Hc), the Curietemperature (Tc) and so on. The microstructure of crystallization phase was investigatedby optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The magnetic property of the Pr-based BMGs was paramagnetic, Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8showed superparamagnetic, especially. The Ms of the Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8,Pr55Cu13.3Al25Ni6.7,Pr55Cu17Al20Ni8BMG was32.24emu/g,27.30emu/g,30.97emu/g,respectively, the highest Tc (K) was15.5K,18.0K,21.5K, respectively. Theparamagnetic property of the Pr-based BMGs was improved by the glass transitiontemperature annealing, the annealed temperature was373K. Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8still showedsuperparamagnetic, especially. Under the glass transition temperature, the Ms and thehighest Tc (K) of the Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8,Pr55Cu13.3Al25Ni6.7,Pr55Cu17Al20Ni8BMG washigher than the untreated sample. Under the supercooled liquid region annealing, thesample was crystallized. The annealed temperature of Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8alloy was467K,The annealed temperature of Pr55Cu13.3Al25Ni6.7alloy was501K, The annealedtemperature of Pr55Cu17Al20Ni8alloy was494K. It can be seen that the crystalline shapesof Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8was "maple leaf type" and "dendritic crystal" for Pr55Cu13.3Al25Ni6.7,Pr55Cu17Al20Ni8. The magnetic property of the Pr-alloy was changed from paramagnetic tohard magnetic. The maximum Ms of Pr60Cu17Al15Ni8was39.8emu/g,the maximum Hcachieved119.4KA/m. The maximum Ms of Pr55Cu13.3Al25Ni6.7was29.8emu/g, themaximum Hc achieved270KA/m. The maximum Ms of Pr55Cu17Al20Ni8was33.2emu/g,themaximum Hc achieved206.2KA/m. |
