This paper focus on cold rolling thickness control, starting with cold rolling basic theory knowledge, P-H figure derived from the crossing between elastic and plastic curve, which fundamentally analyzed the influence factors of outgoing strip thickness. For no-load roll gap S0 and plastic curve can affect outgoing strip thickness, then deduced the press control which change no-load roll gap and tension control which change the plastic curve.This paper using automatic gauge control strategy, there are many AGC strategy, such as feed forward AGC, feedback AGC, GM-AGC, tension AGC, mass flow AGC. After the comprehensive analyses of the advantages and disadvantages of various AGC, this paper using GM-AGC for no lagging for outgoing strip thickness.Hydraulic press control takes the place of electric pressure for its shorter response time and quicker speed, which become the major control means of outgoing strip thickness. It is mainly used to control the thickness of coarse tone.Tension plays an important role in rolling process, not only prevents the rolled-piece running away, makes the rolling piece straight up, automatics regulate effect, but also increases yields and transfers energy. It is mainly used to control the thickness of pure tone.In all the factors which affect outgoing strip thickness, press control is the most direct and effective way to change thickness deviation. Therefore this paper made a GM-AGC model for its no lagging.As rapid development of contemporary intelligent control technology, which replace the traditional PID controller which control cold strip rolling. This paper using optimal fuzzy PID control based on strip thickness control strategy. Finally contrast ordinary PID controller and the optimal fuzzy PID controller in same strip thickness control condition, draw the conclusion.
