In the evaporator work process, it easily appears "bumping" phenomenon if the material contained forthing ingredient. This phenomenon led to waste materials and the course of production can not be on steady state. A neotype evaporation chamber for forming material evaporation process was been proposed in this paper. Compared with the conventional evaporation chamber, the main feature was changed feeding way from single pipe to many pipes lining up in annular,this structure can enhance raw liquid dispersion in evaporation chamber,to inhibit bubbles gathering from gas and reduce "bumping" phenomenon in workingThrough the experiments, the defoaming function for the foaming material of the neotype evaporation chamber and the conventional evaporation chamber were compared at the same conditions, and the results show that the neotype evaporation chamber is much better than the conventional one in the function of anti-bumping. For getting more detailed structures and conditions of defoaming function,using STAR-CCM+ software to compute the maximum axial drag and gas holdup distribution in outlet of the neotype evaporation chamber liquid inlet branch pipe. And analyzed the relations between bubble layer sickness and inlet velocity by doing numerial simulation for gas holdup distributions in neotype evaporation chamber and conventional evaporation chamber in hope of providing basis for the design of the neotype evaporation chamber and the further study.The result of numerial simulation showed that uniformity of gas holdup discribution in branch pipe outlet is changing for maximum drag and wall shear force, and the uniformity of gas holdup radial distribution is decreasing with the velocity of branch pipe inlet decreasing, increasing and then decreasing with the diameter of branch pipe and gas-liquid ratio of liquid inlet increasing, increasing with the length of branch pipe increasing.The minimum length of branch pipe is linear with the diameter and inlet velocity of branch pipe when branch pipe axial gas-liquid flowed to full development, and the formula is: l(v,d)=200v+10d-100. The bubble layer thickness of neotype evaporation chamber is 0.02 m at the inlet velocity of 0.8 m/s, and it is thinner 0.16 m than conventional evaporation chamber. And the thickness of bubble layer is 0.36 m and is thinner 0.14 m than conventional evaporation at the inlet velocity of 1.8 m/s.
