In recent years, with exacerbation of competition in hot-rolled strip steel productionand progress of automatic control technology, people take more stringent requirements onquality of hot rolled strip shape. Min-wide strip hot rolling mill is one of main types millsthat used for the production of hot strip production, shape control theories relate toMin-wide strip hot rolling mill is attracted attention by people, and as the main method ofstrip shape controlling for Min-wide strip hot rolling mill, roll shape curve optimizationhas been attracted unprecedented attention. Roll shape curve optimization of Min-widestrip is researched in this paper, and the affection of shape curve optimization inimproving quality of hot strip cross-section, shape and roll life has been researched andanalysis.First, affection of hot rolling mill work roll thermal deformation of hot stripcross-section is analysis, and factors of work roll thermal deformation is found by thecalculation and analysis of work roll thermal deformation by finite difference method,which is the basis of work roll thermal crown prediction calculation in roll shape curveoptimization.Secondly, hot rolling mill roll design optimization of the basic principles wereintroduced, and according to rolling process and equipment characteristics of hot rollingmill, work roll is designed with roll curve type of cosine function, the end of bearingrollers roller is designed with roll curve type of power function, and roll shape curveoptimization of min-wide strip hot milling is calculated and case studied in the target ofobtaining a good shape and uniform contact pressure distribution between rolls tooptimize respectively. The affection of optimized roll curve type in improving the shapeand uniforming contact pressure between the rollers, etc are simulated and analysis aftercalculated the curve type of850mm hot-rolling production line.Finally, the optimized roll curve type were applied to the production line in threeindependent experiments, and hot strip were tracked in cold processing to verify thepractical affection of roll curve optimized design. Experimental results show that, in line with the method of roll bending, the quality of cross-section of hot roll strip waseffectively improved, the problem of cold rolled steel coil edge was solved and the spallphenomenon of bearing end was eliminated.
