Methanol as the basis of coal chemical industry chemicals, widely used in organic intermediates, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fuel, paints, plastics, synthetic fibers, synthetic rubber and other fields.East China University of Science and Technolegy developed a "cold outer shell-insulation compound methanol synthesis reactor," as the basis for the methanol monomer unit to meet the current increasing requirements of large-scale, parallel twin reactors proposed methanol synthesis reaction technology. Yankuang Cathay Caol Chemical Co., Ltd. in the methanol production plant using this process, through the model design method, proposed an annual output of 24 million tons of methanol synthesis reactor of the optimized structure parameters and process parameters, industry proven to be scientific and feasible. Mastered the twin parallel the characteristics of methanol synthesis process, study and formulate the use of catalysts in different stages of the production load of different process parameters, adjusting the drum pressure, control bed temperature. Practice has proved that the reactor produced a large capacity, easy to control the catalyst bed temperature, catalyst for long life, reasonable energy recovery and so on. Methanol synthesis process parallel twin Yankuang Cathay Caol Chemical Co., Ltd. in the successful use of, is the first year operation, year of production, the year of effective industrial devices.30 million tons in 2008 to produce methanol for the design load of 125%. The results have been achieved remarkable economic and social benefits, research results can be the construction of methanol plant in the country and to promote the technological transformation of plant.
