The schiff base is by the carbonyl of aldehydes ketone, amine, hydrazine and its derivatives amidocyanogen condensation polymerization and the product is the methylene amino groups of organic compounds. It is a kind of very important the ligand of containing N. Among the salicylaldehyde schiff base is the research time for the earliest, research field is the most extensive in the schiff base fields. Whereas schiff base derived from amino acid have a few of atoms such as nitrogen and oxygen for coordination, they are more likely to form atomic transiton with metal complexes. It is the schiff base of a very important ligand. This paper reports an solid-phase synthetic method to L-amino acid Schiff base, and the synthesis does not apply any organic solvent. This method has advantages such as short reaction time, high yield, good purity. Then twenty complexes are synthesized by these ligands coordinated with acetic acid transiton metal elements. These ligands and complexes have been characterized by instruments. Specific research of these results are as follows:1. Five schiff base ligands derived from L-alanine, L-leucine, L-Phenylglycine, L-Pheylalanine, L-valine, salicylaldehyde and its derivatives have been synthesized. Production rates are over 90%. The five ligands have been characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrum analysis, ultraviolet spectrum analysis, NMR, MS, LC-MSD-TRAP.2. Twenty complexes are synthesized by these ligands coordinated with transition metals such as the acetic acid compounds of Zn(II),Cu(II),Co(II),Ni(II).3. The Phe-Sal-Ni crystal is received successfully. The crystal is characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It belongs to monocline system. The P21space group crystal size parameter is as follows: a=7.0094(14) (A|。), alpha=90deg; b=7.7896(16)(A|。), beta=99.47(3)deg; c=17.847(4)(A|。), gamma= 90deg. The structure of this compound is L-amino acid schiff base ligands which contains mononuclear Ni. The Ni is coordinated with nitrogen and two oxygen atoms which belong to Phe-Sal, its coordination configuration is flat square.
