Because of the complexity of the mining geological conditions, metal deposit mining will cause continuous movement, deformation and the discontinuous damage of the rock mass and surface, especially mining subsidence problem is becoming more and more serious with the increase of mining depth gradually, which brings serious influence to mine safety. In view of the actual situation of Shizishan copper mine of Yunnan Daya Non-Ferrous Metals Ltd., which is sharp inclined metallic deposits caving method of deep mining complex conditions, and based on theoretical research, I use FLAC3D software and 2D-block software and the monitoring of the ground pressure activities and the movement of rock mass, along with several determined methods of the displacement angle to systematically conduct the research on the law of the rock mass and surface movement which caused by deep mining in Shizishan copper mine.(1) Described the process, forms and deformation characteristics and research methods of surface and rock mass movement, analyzed the factors and determined methods of the displacement angle, clarified the relationship between faults associated with mining subsidence theory, and lay the foundation of ascertaining the surface and rock mass damage type and deformation mechanisms caused by deep mining and the range of rock mass.(2) Understood the geological background and project conditions of the mine, and the structural characteristics of rock mass type by several field researches and data collecting and sorting. With the physical mechanical parameters of rock by laboratory experiments and rock quality evaluation RMR value for the foundation, used Hock-Brown failure criterion to process the physical and mechanical parameters of rock, and calculate the mechanics parameters of rock mass of mining area in Shizishan copper mine.(3) Analyzed law of surface subsidence and rock mass movement of the hanging wall and rock mass movement of the footwall which is influenced by the fault with deep lasting downward mining process in Shizishan copper mine by numerical simulation.(4) Carried on comprehensive monitoring of the movement and failure of rock mass in deep mining, and analyzed the law of movement of rock mass which is influenced by the fault in underground mining process.(5) Many methods have been adopted to study on the displacement angle of rock mass in the mining of Shizishan copper mine, and eventually determined the range of rock mass in Shi zishan copper mine.
