has been concerned extensively. As one of the conversion technologies, fast pyrolysis technology of biomass for bio-oil production provides an optional way to solve the problem of shortage of liquid fuels. In this paper, biomass catalytic pyrolysis has been investigated using micro- mesoporous composite molecular sieves. The catalysts of ZSM-5/Al-MCM-41 with different Si/Al ratio and ZSM-5/Me-Al-MCM-41 containing different metal (Mn,Fe,Ni,Cu,Zn,Zr,Pd,La,Ce) had been synthesized using ZSM-5 zeolite as silica and alumina sources. The catalyst samples were physicochemically characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption, Fourier-transfer infra-red spectrometer and NH3-TPD. Results showed that the synthesized catalysts had a good orderly hexagonal structure of MCM-41 and MFI- type pore structure of ZSM-5.A comprehensive experimental study was carried out on a self-designed reactor to investigate the influence of pyrolysis temperature and vacuum degree. The highest yield 55.3% was achieved at 450℃and vacuum degree 0.02MPa.Effects of different types, different Si/Al ratio and different metal modified catalysts on catalytic pyrolysis were investigated. The main compositions of bio-oil were analyzed by GC-MS. It was found that the bio-oil contained several kinds of chemical compounds, including hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, ethers, esters, furans and aromatics and the oxygen content was very high. The gas products were analyzed by GC, the main components were CO2,CO,CH4,H2. With the amount of catalyst increased, the liquid product yield first increased and then decreased.Guaiacol, anisole and furfural in bio-oil were analysed quantitatively using external standard method. In addition, the physical properties of bio-oil were measured. The components of rice straw, rape straw, rice husk, fir sawdust, birch sawdust and red wood sawdust were analyzed with chemical quantitative analysis and industrial analysis. Researches on pyrolysis of these six biomass and composition analysis of their liquid products were also carried out.
