Color ,because of its outstanding marketing function,takes great proportion in brand design. Whether a single product or series of product nowadays, the color designs always occupies a very important position. At present, the color design in the clothing brand industry has extended from the part to the overall development,and upgrade from a individual color design to the systematic color development strategy. It also builds color elements into every details of the product using color creativity, cultural penetration,and symbol application.Conduct brand color survey and research is an important way of Dress Color studying, because successful clothing brands all have their own specific brand style and color characteristics. Through a long-term follow-up study, summarize and analyze the basic rule of color development of famous clothing brands ,we find that its successful experience is worth us to draw lessons from. From viewpoint of color strategy and color effect, Versace was a very successful example, therefore, the subject firstly takes the works from different periods of Versace as study case,analyzes the basic characteristics and the development tendency combinating the basic law of color groups,which are brightness coloring, purity coloring, hue coloring, and discusses the Versace's color development ideas and focus. And then combined color design skills with the brand of clothing, analysis the color of the Versace clothing brand clothing in our brand application, to identify the color of clothing the inadequacies and suggest improvements.The article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is done on several key concepts defined and carding; The second chapter analysis and research the three key stages of the Versace brand in the color development, summarize the basic theory; The third chapter use specific products as example conduct research according the basic principles of color through both pictures and texts;The fourth chapter analysis and summary the Versace clothing characteristic by making use of some statistical analysis softwares such as Excel to draw pie chart of the proportion of hue, purity, brightness used in the past five years; The chapter Five compared Versace and regional clothing brands,find out the our color shortage and propose suggestions to provide designer theory to do the brand planning and product design in the future.The sixth chapter gave a brief summarization and an expectation on the future work about the study subject.
