As a main kind of pharmaceutical industrial wastewater, antibiotic pharmaceutical wastewater is known as its complex component, high organic matters concentration. And because of the antibiotics which inhibits microorganism growing, antibiotic pharmaceutical wastewater is biological toxic, high concentration, refractory organic wastewater.As single aerobic treatment can not make the effluent reach the discharge standard, physical chemistry pretreatment is usually required to the process, which is bound to complicate the process and brings additional treatment cost as well. Hydrolytic acidification can effectively remove the remnant of antibiotics, then the aerobic process is protected well and the biodegradability of wastewater is enhanced. As a result, hydrolytic acidification and aerobic combine process works well specific in antibiotic pharmaceutical wastewater treatment.ABR is a plug-flow reactor which good at solid-liquid separation. Using ABR as the hydrolytic acidification reactor and optimizing its design parameter, it can greatly remove remnant of antibiotics and enhance the biodegradability of wastewater. SBR has such characteristics as great shock-load resistance, flexible operational cycle, highly auto-control, secondary sedimentation tank exception and sludge bulking restraint. The process combine ABR hydrolysis acidification with SBR will act well in antibiotic wastewater treatment.Take a antibiotics pharmaceutical wastewater treatment project in Fuzhou for an example, through analysis of design essentials, operating parameters, starting procedure, the operating characteristics of the process and the technical and economic indexes, and we had summarized the technical and economic characteristics of the treatment process that combine ABR hydrolytic acidification with SBR. The designed flow rate is 4000m3/d, and the COD, BOD, pH of the inlet water were respectively 3750mg/L, 1500 mg/L and 2~12. When the hydraulic retention time (HRT) of the ABR hydrolytic acidification reactor was 18h, the COD removal efficiency was 25%, and COD load of SBR was 1.73kgCOD/m3d, of which the removal efficiency was 85%. Through the treatment process that ABR hydrolytic acidification process combined with SBR, the effluent can reach the secondary discharge standard of "National Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard" (GB8978-1996). The process is simple, easy to start and runs stably. The area of the project was 5600m2, the total investment of it was 3180 yuan/ m3, and the operational cost is 1.51yuan/ m3.
