It could be said that the secondary cooling holds the balance for the defect-free slab production, and that the cracks, segregation and bulging on slab could be caused by inappropriate secondary cooling. The secondary cooling are usually divided as static control and dynamic control, and the latter is adaptive to the variation of casting speed and can control the surface temperature of slab in a allowable range by adjusting and distributing the secondary cooling water.Aiming at the medium thickness slab caster in Anshan ISCO,by establishing a non-steady state heat transfer and mathematical model on casting solidification and according to a certain metallurgical criteria,simulator program of secondary cool dynamic controlling was developed successfully by using VisuaBlasic6.0 which was suitable to medium thickness slab caster. The casting speed would be changed possibly in the middle of pouring, so the applicability of actual speed controlling model in changing speed process was analyzed by using the procedure; The comparison between actual speed controlling model and four kinds of virtual casting speed controlling models was carried on at the same time, and the best kind of virtual casting speed controlling model was selected to use in changing speed process during primary time, middle time and last time of pouring, which makes the product of casting block was improved greatly.Simulation software of secondary cool dynamic controlling that was developed in this article not only could carry on appreciating to static water meter static online under static control condition, but also could carry on computing and displaying online to surface temperature and central temperature of skiving, the thickness of solidified shell and cooling water volume of spray section for secondary cooling under different dynamic control condition and different continuous casting process , and the interface of that was extremely beautiful. |
