Ultra fast cooling (UFC), as the new generation TMCP technology, has established reasonable control system combining ultra fast cooling technology and traditional TMCP technologie. It solved the difficulties and met the requirements in development of excellent comprehensive performance of high value-added steel.In recent years, Northeastern University independent developed ultra fast cooling technology and equipment in the domestic enterprise and put thme into production, which has broken monopoly by the overseas enterprises and promoted the localization of the equipment, but its cooling ability and cooling homogeneity remains to be improved.In this thesis, the finite element software ANSYS/FLUENT as the platform, the impact of ultrafast cooling equipment factors on cooling ability were studied. Design and layout of the equipment's nozzle determines the formation of high pressure and high flow of cooling water. In the cases of two different types of nozzle system namely Gap and tri-nozzle aperture, the height of the nozzle, pressure, angle, and diameter, spacing and cooling water temperature were systematically studied. It is significant to find out the reasonable arrangement of the nozzle and increase the impact of the cooling ability and cooling uniformity and then to provide the theory basis and the reference for ultra fast cooling equipment design.
