Molecular switch plays an important role in bioengineering and information technologies. Owing to the high sensitivity and easy monitoring of luminescence signals, various fluorescent molecular switchs have been extensively explored and applied in fields of intelligent biosensor, environment analysis, clinic physic and micrology and so on.Ferrocene and its derivatives have a special chemical structure with specific redox, aromatic, stability and low toxicity characteristics. As a novel molecule, it is potentially a huge number of research areas of applications. NIPMAM is a monomer in polymer owing good water solubility and temperature effect. Meanwhile, it can link to functional groups for improving their detection limits. The chromophore of naphthalimide which connected with ferrocene and piperazine was used as fluorophore in this thesis. Their chemical structures were characterized by 1H NMR,13C NMR and HRMS. Two logic gates such as "OR" and "INHIBIT" were designed with the inputs of protons and redox. In addition, NIPMAM is also connected to develop multi-responsive fluorescent polymeric system to temperature, redox and ptotons, in which the water-solubility and capability of redox can be improved.
