Anoectochilus roxburghii is our traditional precious drugs, it is very famous in folk. The traditional drying way of Anoectochilus roxburghii were mainly solarization and airflow drying(AD), which have a serious loss of effectiveness of the composition dried, a long drying time, the shortcomings of higher cost. Microwave vacuum drying(MVD) technology was applied to Anoectochilus roxburghii drying in this paper. The MVD characteristics of Anoectochilus roxburghii was studied, and kinetic models of MVD was established correspondingly. Effects of each factor of microwave vacuum on dried Anoectochilus roxburghii were studied. Then the optimal drying technology was determined by optimizing drying technology. The project would offer technical guarantee for energy-saving processing and producing dried product of high quality.1. Study microwave vacuum dry characteristic of Anoectochilus roxburghii. Experiment result enunciation: At Anoectochilus roxburghii MVD, microwave power and carrying capacity variety obvious impact the rate of water loss;The higher was microwave power, the more quick do lose water velocity;The heavyer was carrying capacity, the slower was lose water velocity. Vacuum variety loses water velocity to change not and obviously;The higher was vacuum, the more quick do lose water velocity.2. The kinetic models of MVD for Anoectochilus roxburghii was established. Experiment result enunciation: It was proved that predicted date and experimental date were nearly accordant and the model could be used for describing the change of moisture in Anoectochilus roxburghii during MVD.3. Optimization of MVD technology for Anoectochilus roxburghii. Experiment result enunciation: the optimal drying technology was obtained when microwave power was 3000W, vacuum degree was -75kPa and loadage was 300g.4. Optimization of tempering drying process. Experiment result enunciation: the optimal drying technology was obtained when starting moisture content was 258% and tempering drying time was 208min.5. Compare of AD and MVD.It showed that , the quality of dried Anoectochilus which was dried by MVD was advanced than AD.
