Research On The Pellet By Microwave Modified Sodium Bentonite

The binder is a major factor affecting the quality of pellets, the proportion of which additional become the key of pellets quality. This paper mainly study on using the property of microwave modification to the sodium bentonite, improving its bonding properties, thereby reducing its additional amount in the pellets. The paper mainly studies the sodium bentonite by microwave from the following three aspects:First, the research on the change of some physical properties of sodium bentonite and the quality of pellets before and after modification of microwave. Through the research on the sodium bentonite four properties of colloid index, swelling capacity, blue absorption power and water content, making the following conclusions:In the range of the study of the modified time and power, under the conditions that microwave modified by the time of 7min, power of 264W, the binder's physical properties have been greatly improved; The research on the role of microwave modifying sodium bentonite on the impact of pellets, From studying in four areas as the times of wet-pellet dropped and compressive strength, compressive strength of roasted-pellet,, drawing the following conclusions:ratio of the sodium bentonite for 1.4%, in range of the research modification time and modified power, microwave modification time for 7min and power of 264W, all above of the properties are improved. So this modified condition is the best condition. The comprehensive analysis above can be made in this study,within the scope of this experiment research, The best microwave modification conditions of sodium bentonite is the modification power of 264W, and time for 7min.Second, the optimized experiments. In the best modified condition of the microwave, the modified power is 264W, modified time is 7min,through choosing the different ratio of binder and inspecting the quality index of pellets,we can study the feasibility of reducing the ratio of sodium bentonite by microwave in the pellets. Choose the Na-binder additional amount of 1.3%,1.2%,1.1%, and then test the pellets quality indicators. The results showed that under the condition of the microwave modified by the power of 264W,time of 7min, and ensure the pellets quality standard not lower than the unmodified pellets, the sodium bentonite proportion can be maked from 1.4% ropped to 1.2%.Thrid, the research on mechanism of microwave modified the binder. After modified by microwave, some of the physical properties of the sodium bentonite have been optimized, so that it can be better to adjust the water in pellets, to improve the lubrication, ion exchange and adsorption properties, and also enhance the pellets burst temperature, then play a better effect on improving the pellets quality index.
