| The key unit of styrene plant is ethyl benzene dehydrogenation unit, which is the bottleneck to limit styrene production,and determine material consumption and energy consumption during the styrene production from catalytic dehydrogenation of ethyl benzene. Based on the analysis of dehydrogenation reaction influencing factors, the advanced process control and real time optimization system is used to control the key control points in the ethyl benzene dehydrogenation unit in combination of actual conditions of 100,000 t/a styrene plant in this paper. The use of the advanced process control and real time optimization system not only significantly enhances operation stability of this unit and ethyl benzene conversion and styrene production, but also reduces material and energy consumptions. |
