Silicone materials, which have excellent weather resistance, hightemperature resistance, hydrophobicity and insulation, have been widely usedin the fields of aerospace, aviation, adhesives and electronic equipment. Withthe emergence of long life and high brightness white LED, and the rapiddevelopment of high temperature lead free reflow soldering processes,non solvent high refractive index transparent silicone resin has being the newtrends and research focus of the high power LED packaging materials.This thesis is based on the synthesis of non solvent phenyl vinyltransparent silicone, and then studied the hydrosilylation curing behavior andperformance, the specific work as follows:1. To explore a route of synthesis the no solvent phenyl vinyl transparentsilicone: taking diphenyldimethoxysilane (DPDS), phenyl trimethoxysilane(PTMS), vinyl trimethoxysilane (VTMS), hydroxyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PTMS) as raw materials, HCl water solution as catalyst, through theco hydrolyzation condensation reaction, increasing T step by step to rid ofwater and other small molecules,finally got the no solvent, high refractive index transparent silicone resin. To adjust the refractive index of the syntheticproduct through the control of the monomer ratio, the effects of amount ofhydrochloric acid, temperature and other factors were investigated, thetechnological conditions were optimized. And the structures were confirmedby IR,1H NMR,29Si NMR, XRD.2. For the phenomenon of poor miscibility of the ordinary hydrogensilicone and phenyl vinyl silicone, designed and synthesized three methylphenyl hydrogen silicone oil,which were characterized by IR and1H NMR,ofdifferent hydrogen content.The gel time of the curing reaction of the threevinyl basis silicone resin/hydrogen silicone oil systems were studied: theresults showed that1,3divinyl1,1,3,3tetramethyl disiloxane platinumcomplex possess good reaction performance, and determined the best curingratios of the three systems.The curing kinetics of the three differentvinyl based silicone/hydrogen silicone oil systems were studied throughDSC.The calculated curing characteristics and curing kinetic equations of thethree systems have been fitted, following the n order reaction kineticsmodel.The course of the hydrosilylation curing process were confirmed byinfrared tracking, providing a basis theoretical for the determination of thecuring process.3. Performances of the cured product, which was reacted by self madehydrogen cross linking agent with vinyl based silicone resin were investigatedby TGA, DSC, UV vis. TGA analysis found that the product has good heat resistance. The glass transition temperature of the cured material could meetthe requirements of the general optical resins. Cured product with highrefractive index and high transmittance, could satisfy the requirements of theuse of the power LED package.
