With the rapid development of offshore oil industry, the laying of submarine pipeline andapplication are more widespread. But the pipeline will expose from the sea bed because theerosion of the sea wave and current. Stress analysis of the exposed spanning submarinepipeline has always been an important subject of domestic and foreign scholars. In thispaper,as the spanning submarine pipeline for the object of study to do the following work.(1)Review the status quo research of free submarine pipeline. Include, the reasons for theformation of free submarine pipeline, and study methods and results of foreign scholars.(2)Create free submarine pipeline model and do the dynamic response parameters impactanalysis. Based on linear (Ariy) wave theory to obtain the wave speed of the water particle,and based on Morison equation to calculate the wave force on the pipe. Finite elementsorftware ADINA establish free submarine pipeline-wave mathematical model, and researchthe dynamic response of free submarine pipeline and the affect of pipe's length,wave heightand pope's diameter to the free submarine pipeline. Then study the dynamic response of thefree submarine pipeline under the combined effect of the earthquake and waves.(3)Establish spanning submarine pipeline-waves mechanical analysis model and do thedynamic response impact analysis. Apply the ADINA Structures module to establish athree-dimensional dynamic model of the submarine pipeline, then apply the ADINA CFDmodule establish the three-dimensional solid model of seawater. Fluid-structure interactionsolve the pipe model and water model by the ADINA FSI calculation method.Do dynamicresponse analysis of the free submarine pipeline by only the waves,waves and earthquakestogether.(4)Finally expandly analysis the affect of the free submarine pipeline with tsunami wave.
