In order to understand the aging mechanism of bromobutyl rubbersheet, we are testing the bromobutyl rubber sheet in the hot airenvironment, nitrogen environment, isolate air environment of aging.Through the analysis of bromobutyl rubber microscopic structure change,color changes, rubber additives in changes, we study the cause ofbromobutyl aging factor, and additives in the role of the aging process.Through research we found that the bromobutyl rubber will turnyellow in color phenomenon from white in the air atmosphere,180℃,20min. The micro structure of bromobutyl rubber trun B to C, andmolecular chain degraded at the same time.When blended bromobutyl rubber with epoxy soybean oil andstearic acid calcium the aging rate significantly slow down. Different typeof age-resistant (1010,1076,1330) has small different effect on agingprocess. The calcium stearate in bromobutyl rubber transform into stearicacid by the aging process of bromobutyl rubber.The aging process of bromobutyl rubber mainly cause by the hotand oxygen effect together. Under the condition of isolated air in180℃,3hours aging doesn't occur almost. It will hardly go aging only byhot.The aging rate of bromobutyl rubber in nitrogen environmentbetween in the air atmosphere and isolate air atmosphere.
