The experiments had been done by solution culture and pot culture in the field of Henan NormalUniversity from2010-2011. In order to provide practical guidance for cultivation, Effects of differentconcentrations of Cd and Zn in Carthamus tinctorius L. of Wei Hui are as follows. We have studied theeffection of the growth, development, quaily, GSH content and gsh2expression in different organs of thesafflower. In order to build a relevomce model from the phenotypic, the physiological and biochemical, tothe molecular level. We judged the quality of the safflower by measuring the content of hydroxyl safflworyellow A and the heavy metal residual quantity in mature safflower. Then we can provide a experimentalevidence to the field environment of the safflower cultivation. The main results of this paper research are:1. We have studied the influence to the sprouting percentage, lateral root and plant height of thesafflower. Experimental result show that cadmium treatment can restrain the growth of the safflower. Thechange is not significantly in short time because of the hard seed sheel of the safflower. With the extensionof the processing time, the germination percentage, the root long, the number of lateral roots, and the plantheight were decreased by the increasing of Cd concentration.Zinc treatment is different from cadmium treatment. It can promote the growth of safflower in a certainextent. With the increasing of mental concentration, the germination percentage, the root long, the numberof lateral roots, and the plant height were increased and then decreased.2.We studied the influence of the GSH content in safflowers' different periods and different positionby Cd and Zn treatment. Hydroponic experiment results showed that the content of the GSH was increasedwith the metal concentrations elevating on the7days after the Cd and Zn treatment. But on the15day, thecontent of GSH was decreased with the high concentrations of cadmium treatment(100mg/L), andsafflower decay phenomenon occurred with the lower concentrations of zinc treatment(1000mg/L), whichlead to no material leaved. The pot experiment results showed that, the GSH content in leaves at any timewas significantly higher than in root, and the content on the100day was significantly higher than it on the150day. Under the Cd treatment, the GSH content showed a "high-low-high" trend with the elevating concentrations, and it was decreased with the extension of time. But under high concentrations ofcadmium(1.0mg/kg), severe yellow phenomenon was appeared. Under the Zn treatment, the change ofGSH content was not significantly, but showing a first increased then decreased trend on the whole.3. The effect of glutathione synthase (GSH2) expression of safflower different periods treated byCadmium, zinc. Hydroponic experiment results show that treatment gsh2expression levels after treated bycadmium, zinc significantly increase with the concentration of heavy metal treatment increased. Thechanges of Cd treatment higher than Zn, and increased with the treatment time.15the day was higher thanthe first7days. The pot experiment showed that, gsh2expression levels increased with the increase of theconcentration of heavy metal treatment, expression levels in leaves higher than roots, show a downwardtrend with time, the content of the first50days than100days are150days.4. The effect of hydroxy safflower yellow pigment, heavy metal content of potted flowers. Hydroxylsafflower yellow pigment content in the mature flowers is higher than the control. lower the highest contentof zinc treatment in the concentration of0.1mg/kg lower concentration of100mg/kg highest concentrationsof Cd. On the contrary, heavy metal content of control is the lowest, the changes of cadmium and zinc isnot obvious. The heavy metal content in the flowers exceeded.
