To satisfy the sustainable development theory,Ground-coupled heat pump(GCHP) has an extensive range of application because of its advantages. It is critical to do a study on heat exchanger for geothermal heat exchanger (GHE) is the key component of GCHP.In this paper,the applicability of GCHP in Wuhu is researched and analyzed.It illustrates that U-tube ground-coupled heat pump has a vast prospect for future exploitation in Wuhu.The development and research status of GSHP is expounded as well as it's significance of developing in China. Some performance parameters of soil which have close relationship with GCHP system are discussed.Then a model which has coincident geometrical shapes with U-tube ground heat exchanger is builded up using GAMBTT software,meanwhile the heat transfer property around U-tube ground heat exchanger and soil is simulated. And all kinds of factors which have effect on the performance of U-tube ground heat exchanger under unsteady state heat conducting circumstances are analyzed.It's proposed that the efficiency of heat exchanger can be magnified by raising the thermal conductivity of backfill material and soil.Finally,it's verified practically that Wuhu is suitable for exploiting shallow geothermal resources.Besides,some proposal is offered on account of the shortage in this paper so as to clear direction for further study.
