Water consumption curves is directly related to the construction of secondary water supply system's and the selection of it in the building, especially in the high-rise building. There is no study about energy saving of water supply system for high residence in China. At present, in the designing of secondary water supply system, estimation approach has been widely adopted. But this method cannot protect the rationality of programme and equipment. All of this could lead to increasing the power and water consumption. So there is a waste of energy in this system.Firstly, as well as we know, at present the main type of water supply system is variable frequency water supply system in Tianjin after analyzing water consumption of residence in Tianjin. After that, the study of variable frequency in water supply system was dedicated preliminarily. The work principle and energy saving mode of variable frequency water supply are researched in order to be better used in water supply system for high residence.Secondly, taking high-rise buildings as subjects, the paper explores the law of the water used in high-rise buildings. Factors such as (the scale, family, and personnel structure of construction, week, holiday, season etc.) should be considered in the water supply syestem. According to the law of water consumption in high-rise buildings, second water supply system can be designed better.At last, through analysis and study of the data about the water consumption which is measured by on-line monitoring machine, strategys and optimal designings in high-rise building for water supply system were obtained. According to the reserch of energy consumption in second water supply system, water supply system was designed scientificly. In the way of this method, lots of energy in buildings was saved.
