Compared with three-phase induction machine, the multi-phase induction machine has many advantages such as high reliability and reducing the amplitude of torque pulsation. So the multiphase motor drive system is particularly suitable for application in industrial transportation and military occasions such as electric vehicles ,ships electric propulsion and aerospace. At present, design and application of multiphase machine get more and more concerned from scientific research workers.However, in the design process of multiphase motor, the influence from the parameters of the frequency converter and the control strategy to electromagnetic properties of the motor increases the difficulty of the motor design and the complex degree.In order to facilitate researching of the multiphase motor electromagnetic properties in different control methods, a multiphase motor experimental platform system was developed. This thesis studies the content as follows:1) The present research of multiphase motor and control drive system was introduced. Establishing the mathematical model of multiphase induction motor in the natural coordinate system and the rotating coordinate, the design thought and function of the control unit of the electromagnetic performance experiment platform of multiphase motor was presented.2) Researching multiphase motor PWM strategy and its implementation method, and puts forward a multiphase PWM generator design method based on DSP and FPGA.3) The general structure and the hardware of multiphase motor experimental platform set control unit was designed. In the design of the controller design process, put forward a method of DSP and FPGA parallel communication. 4) Design of the PC software and experimental platform based software of multiphase motor experimental platform set control unit.5) Test and verify of the experimental platform control unit using 15 phase induction motor, the result shows that the control methods of the experimental platform control unit was effective.
