According to the problem of gyromagnetic ferrite material with high loss in S-band digital high power ferrite phase shifter, this paper researches the garnet ferrite from two aspects of materials compounding and process through analyzing the theory of microwave ferrite. The conflict of spin wave linewidthΔHk and low loss and low coercivity is solved by compounding optimizing, process improvement and ionic replacement. Ionic replacement of Gd3+,In3+,Ge4+ advances the squareness ratio R of material and minishes the coercivity. Dy3+ replacement improves the spin wave linewidth of material and coercivity. It meets the requirement of low power for power device and provides materials for S-band digital high power ferrite phase shifter in the new phased-array radar.
