Treatment Of Sanders â…¡,â…¢ Types Of Calcaneus Fracture With Internal Fixation Of Ti-Plate And Bone Transplantation

Objective:To evaluate the results of treatment of Sandersâ…¡,â…¢types of calcaneus fracture collapsed with internal fixation of Ti-Plate and bone transplantation .Methods:From April 2009 to April 2010, 35 patients (38 feet) with calcaneus fracture were treated with internal fixation of Ti-Plate and bone transplantation. Of them,there were 32 males and 3 females,aged 17-60 years,38.93 in average.According to Sanders classi cation,there were 15 cases(16 feet)of type II fractures,20 cases(22 feet)of type III fractures .These patients were followed up from 12 months to 14 years with an average time 12.6 months.X-ray re-inspected regularly,observed the stations of calcaneal fractures healing and Bohler Angle and Gissane Angle recovery,and checked the postoperative complications and the activities of feet function.Results: The Bohler angle and Gissane angle were resumed. All fracture reached bone healing. The clinical results were evaluated with the Maryland foot score.23 feet achieved excellent result, 11 good, 4 fair, 0 failure, with the excellent and good rate 89.47%.There was 1 case of postoperative incisional skin exudate but no necrosis,then delayed healing of wound dressing.Conclusion:The treatment of Sandersâ…¡,â…¢types of calcaneus fracture treated with internal fixation of Ti-Plate and bone transplantation can provide the integrality and stability and effective filling defect ,maintain the height,width and length of calcaneus, exercise joint early ,reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
