ObjectiveWith the continuous application of new technologies and new methods in the medical and health field,the disposale syringe is more and more widely applied in the medical practices.However,the adverse reaction events caused by the disposable syringe also increase gradually.As a foreign matter,the insoluble particle cannot be metabolized,and the damages it causes to the human body are long-term,potential and irreversible.As to the disposable syringe,the particle pollution introduced in its production process can be controlled by the test after leaving the factory.However,at present,the national standard for the disposable syringe which is formally promulgated and implemented by China did not put forward request for the partical pollution,and relevant standards in foreign countries did not mention this either.In order to more precisely understand the syringe's degree of particle pollution,this study selects the syringe of high usage rate,wide usage range and high sales volume currently as the sample to measure and analyze its particle content.This purpose of this study is to provide basis and reference for the amendment of the standard and the determination of measurement methods in the future.MethodsThis study used particle counting method and detected paticle content of 30 lots of syringes.It also determined the detection method via experiments and analyzed the degree of particle pollution.Second,it detected the particle content with and without needles of 10 lots of syringes to analyze the needles how effect the particle content.At last,to detect the particle content of three-pcs and two-pcs syringes from the same factory to analyze the affection of particle pollution from piston to syring.The statistical analysis was executed by SPSS 12.0 software,with a=0.05 as the detection level to make comparative analysis. Results1 The detetion of particle content can use the particle counting method.2 In the syringes,the particles with the particle diameter of 15um-25μm and 25μm-40μm was the most.Accounting for 84%of the total number of particles.3 The particle content of syringes with needle is more than without needle.4 The particle content of three-pcs syringe is more than two-pcs syringe.ConclusionsBased on the above results,this experiment comes to the following conclusions:1 The experimental method for the syringe can refer to the method for the infusion set and the intravenous needles.The detection method is effective and feasible.It can be used into the deeper reseach in future.2 The syringe's degree of particle pollution cannot be ignored,and the relevant standards should be developed as soon as possible to control it.
