Objective:The experiment studied the changing law of TCM syndrome, indexes of HRV,NYHA of cardiac function, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) in CHF patients, and evaluated the relativity of Chinese medicine syndromes of chronic heart failure(CHF)with them.To provide objective available experimental basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) differentiations of CHF.Method:80 cases met the inclusion criteria of CHF patients were selected as the CHF group, including 42 males and 38 females, and NYHAⅡ22,NYHAⅢ33, NYHAⅣ25.We divided them into four chinese medicine syndrome groups which included 15 cases with deficiency of Qi and Yin syndrome,25 cases with qi asthenia causing blood stasis syndrome,22 cases with heart-kidney yang deficiency syndrome,18 cases with edema syndrome due to yang deficiency. The normal control group was outpatient with healthy check 20 cases, male 11 cases, female 9 cases. All the them were performed 24-hour dynamic electrocardiogram, using HRV analysis software to calculate the indexes of time domain:SDNN,SD ANN,rMSSD,PNN50.All of them were detected by doppler ultrasound diagnostic instrument measuring left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),and evaluated them by NYHA.Then reassign all collected data from heart failure complete medical records, and put it into the computer, using the establishment of database SPSS16.0 packages for analysing all of the indexes statistically.Results:1.There is no statistical significance in distributional difference of age and gender in common TCM syndromes of CHF patients(P>0.05).There is no statisti-cal significance in indexse of HRV of gender groups in CHF patients(P>0.05).2.It had statistical significance in every syndromes of proportion of CHF. There is no statistical significance about discrepancy between the syndrome of deficiency of Qi and Yin,and the syndrome of qi asthenia causing blood stasis. In additon,heart-kidney yang deficiency syndrome and edema syndrome due to yang deficiency were the similar to them(P>0.05).The contrast of other syndro-mes was had statistical significance (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The cardiac function was gradually increased among the syndromes of CHF patients. The trend was increasing absolutely according to the syndrome of qi xu developing to the syndrome of yang xu,which manifested that deficiency of Qi and Yin syndrome was less than qi asthenia causing blood stasis syndrome, which was less than heart-kidney yang deficiency syndrome, which was less than edema syndrome due to yang deficiency.3.The discrepancy of LVEF between the common TCM syndromes of CHF patients and the control group had statistical significance(P<0.01).The discrepa-ncy of LVEF in each syndrome of CHF patients had statistical significance(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The trend was decreasing absolutely according to the syndrome of qi xu developing to the syndrome of yang xu,which manifested that deficiency of Qi and Yin syndrome was greater than qi asthenia causing blood stasis syndrome, which was greater than heart-kidney yang deficiency syndrome, which was greater than edema syndrome due to yang deficiency.4.The discrepancy of some indexes of HRV between the common TCM syndromes of CHF patients and the control group had statistical significance (P<0.01).Some indexes of HRV had statistical significance among the syndromes of CHF patients(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The trend was decreasing absolutely according to the syndrome of qi xu developing to the syndrome of yang xu,which manifested that deficiency of Qi and Yin syndrome was greater than qi asthenia causing blood stasis syndrome, which was greater than heart-kidney yang deficiency syndrome, which was greater than edema syndrome due to yang deficiency.5.The discrepancy of some indexes of HRV between different grade of cardiac function and the control group had statistical significance(P<0.01).The discrepancy of some indexes of HRV in different grade of cardiac function of CHF patients had statistical significance(P<0.05 or P<0.01).With the increasing of the grade of cardiac function,it decreased absolutely and its trend was the level ofⅡgreater thanⅢ,the level ofⅢgreater than IV.Conclusion:1.There was no relativity between the regularities of distribution of TCM syndrome in CHF patients and gender, age. And it had no relativity between HRV of CHF patient and discrepancy of age.2.The TCM syndrome in CHF patients was closely related to the grade of cardiac function and LVEF.With the development of syndrome of qi xu to yang xu,the grade of cardiac function was increasing and LVEF was decreasing.3.Some indexes of HRV in CHF patients were absolutely decreasing with the development of qi xu syndrome to yang xu,which showed that some indexes of HRV can be used as part of the reference frame of judging TCM syndrome.4.Some indexes of HRV in different group of cardiac function in CHF patients were absolutely decreasing with the increasing of the grade of cardiac function, and the extent of decreasing was negative relativity with the grade of cardiac function.
