| [Objective]:To observe the clinical effect of thoracolumbar burst fractures with posterior multi-segment fixation or multi-segment fixation with Hook/rod instrumentaiton system combing transpedicular intervertebral fusion.[Methods]:25 cases of Denis type B were operated by posterior multi-segment fixation combing transpedicular intervertebral fusion. The mean time of injury from the operations was 7 days, the age was 38.6 in average. The fractured vertebras were classified by McCormack's load sharing classification (LSC)[Result]:The mean Cobb's angle was recovered from 15.5 degrees to 4.7 degrees, after the final follow-up, it became 9.4 degrees and increased 4.7degrees in average.[Conclusion]:Posterior multi-segment fixation or multi-segment fixation with Hook/rod instrumentaiton system combing transpedicular intervertebral fusion can increase the stability of anterior column, it is an effective method in the treament of thoracolumbar burst fractures. |
