Initial Research For Relationship Between The Body Constitutional Type In TCM And The Syndromes Of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis

Objective:to investigate distribution of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG), explore the relationship between the Body Constitutional Type in TCM and the Syndromes of chronic atrophic gastritis.Methods:By means of question investigation,211 patients with CAG are gathered.They are categorized into nine constitution types, namely, gentleness type, gentleness type, qi-deficiency type, qi-depression type, wetness-heat type, phlegm-wet type, special inherited type, yang-deficiency type, yin-deficiency type and blood-stasis type. And they are categorized into five syndrome types, namely, syndrome of syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach, weakness of spleen and stomach, syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach,,syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach, syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral. Data base was established, the relationship of TCM constitution and the syndrome of CAG were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software.Results:1.The frequency of TCM Constitution types in CAG in descending order is:>qi-deficiency type (20.9)>wetness-heat type(16.6%)>yin-deficiency type (13.3%)>yang-deficiency type (12.8%)> phlegm-wet type(11.8%)> qi-depression type (11.4%)> gentleness type (7.1%)>blood-stasis type(5.2%)> special inherited type (0.9%).2.The frequency of the Syndromes of CAG in descending order is:syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach(34.6%)> syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach(26.1%)> syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach(21.8%)> syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach(15.6%)> syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral 1.9%).3.Gastroscopoic and pathological manifestations have a bearing on TCM Constitution types and Syndromes. Hp infection is common in wetness-heat type and phlegm-wet type,bile regurgitating is frequent in wetness-heat type.4. Hp infection is common in syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach.Mild atrophy is seen in syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach and syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach,and moderate atrophy is seen in syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach and syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach.5. gentleness type s common in syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach; Qi-deficiency type and yang-deficiency type are common in the syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach; wetness-heat type is common in syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach. Syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach is common in yang-deficiency type and Qi-deficiency type; Syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach is common in wetness-heat type and Qi-depression type;And syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach is common in qi-depression type and yin-deficiency type.Conclusion:Qi-deficiency type,Wetness-heat type and yin-deficiency type are the major types of the the Body Constitutional Type in TCM of the CAG. Syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach is the most.The second is dampnessheat of spleen and stomach. We find that the patients of wetness-heat type are easy for spleen in syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach, and the patients of yang-deficiency type and qi-deficiency type are easy for spleen in syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach. It is indicative by this study that treatment of CAG should combined with arguing body, disease and syndrome. Based on the patient's constitution of intervention and adjustment,we can improve the curative effect of TCM, we can reduce the recurrence,and prevent the disease.
