And referred to the traditional evaluating indexes of clinical efficiency and safety (Karnofsky score, clinical symptom amelioration, the cancer objective efficiency, the level of tumor markers, cellular immune function and chemotherapy poisonous side reaction). Thereby to provide the clinical evidence to spread using WD-3 and make a basis of developing new anti-tumor medicine.Methods:Adopting the randomized clinical trial design method, according to random number table,60 definite patients withâ…£period gastric carcinoma have been assigned into two groups,30 in the test group,30 in the control group(9 shed). Patients in the test group receive WD-3 and chemotherapy with XELOX scheme, patients in the control group receive chemotherapy with XELOX scheme only.21 days is a treatment course. They were observed for four treatment courses with QOL estimated by EORTC QLQ-C30 as the tools for measurement, and referred to the traditional evaluating indexes of clinical efficiency and safety.Results:The test group displayed more effective on enhancing the quality of life and the physical strength (Karnofsky score), ameliorating clinical symptoms, reducing the level of tumor markers, improving cellular immune function and reducing the chemotherapy poisonous side reaction. Showing significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). While comparing the cancer objective efficacy, the disease control rate (CR+PR+SD) in the 2 groups was 80.77% and 76.00%, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:In this research WD-3 combined with XELOX scheme can enhance QOL of patients withâ…£period gastric carcinoma, ameliorate clinical symptoms, enhance the physical strength (Karnofsky score), reduce the level of tumor marker, improve cellular immune function.
