| Objective:To analyze the pattern of distribution of TCM syndromes in postprandial distress syndrome patients who diagnosed and treated in Gastrointestinal Department of Nanjing university of Chinese medicine affiliated Hospital from March 2010 to January 2011;to investigate the relationship between different TCM syndromes of postprandial distress syndrome (PDS) and factors such as age, sex, Hp, epigastric pain syndrome so as to conclude the pattern of syndromes distribution, and offer reference for the prevention and treatment of Postprandial Distress Syndrome.Methods:By means of question investigations,200 patients with postprandial distress syndrome are collected. Data base was established by Microsoft Excel, analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software.Results:The frequency of symptoms occurrences:spleen-stomach deficiency type(43.5%) > liver-stomach disharmony type(33.5%)> spleen-stomach damp-heat type(10%)> stomach-yin deficiency type(6%)> cold-heat jumble type(5%)> phlegmy wet stagnation type(2%). Age, sex, Hp infection, epigastric pain syndrome company had significant relationship with TCM syndrome distribution. spleen-stomach deficiency type and liver-stomach disharmony type often occur in all age groups; spleen-stomach damp-heat type often occurs in the young age group less in the middle age group and old age group; stomach-yin deficiency type often occurs in the middle age group and old age group; spleen-stomach deficiency type and liver-stomach disharmony type are often found in both sex group, spleen-stomach damp-heat type often occurs in male group; spleen-stomach damp-heat type and phlegmy-wet stagnation type were found often when Hp was positive, spleen-stomach deficiency type and stomach-yin deficiency type are often founded when in Hp negative group; spleen-stomach deficiency type is often without the company of epigastric pain syndrome, liver-stomach disharmony type often occurs in with the company of epigastric pain syndrome group.Conclusion:The research showed that spleen-stomach deficiency and liver-stomach disharmony are the key factors of pathogenesis of postprandial distress syndrome. Therefore, replenishing qi to invigorate the spleen and smoothing the liver are the bases of treatment of the illness and the key to prevent reoccurrence of postprandial distress syndrome. |
