Objective:To observe the effect of treating radial paralysis with electro-acupuncture.Methods:The 50 cases of radial paralysis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The 25 cases of treatment group were given electro-acupuncture therapy. The 25 cases of control group were given traditional acupuncture therapy. The scores of the two groups which were about motor function, activities of daily and neurological impairment score before and after treatment were through functional assessment of radial nerve, nerve conduction velocity (NCV) and the effect of treating to observe the effect of the treatment scheme. Results:Clinical observations show that the treatment group and control group in the functional assessment of radial nerve and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) of radial nerve after treatment than before treatment were significantly different (P<0.05).One functional assessment of radial nerve and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (P< 0.05).The total effective rate of 96%.Conclusions:It can effectively ameliorate the ability of stretching wrist and fingers, and improve the NCV through electro-acupuncture therapy.Thereby it can improve the patient's quality of life, regain the capacity for work, return to society.
